Ash Wednesday is February 18th, marking the beginning of Lent—the 40-day season (excluding Sundays) of reflection and preparation leading up to Easter. If Easter is the mountain-top celebration of Jesus’ victory over death, Ash Wednesday is the valley—the moment we pause, get honest, and remember why we need that victory in the first place.
