Welcome to the Varsity Theatre

The Varsity Theatre has been a  very special place for Love Chapel Hill for the better part of 12 years. In March of 2020 we, as rest of the world, had to forgo in-person services. We are excited to return to The Varsity to be a central location to Love Chapel Hill with the Heart of Jesus.

Whether this is your first time worshiping at The Varsity or a return we want you to be prepared on how your time with us will look like.

How to Gather Together with Love

  • Masks

To love others we are asking everyone 5 years and up to wear a mask while indoors. This is in accordance with Orange County law. Please keep mask over your mouth and nose for full effect. If you do not have a mask we will provide one for you. Thank you for loving others in this way!

  • Food and drink

We are excited to provide food and drink at our Sunday services. Simple refreshments will be provided after the service. We are asking that no food or drink be consumed in the Varsity to help assure masks are worn.

  • LObby

The front lobby will be more of a highway instead of a gathering place. We will help guide you to the main Theatre where you can safely talk and get to know each other in a larger space. For parents, we will have QUESTkids check-in located in the lobby before you enter the Theatre. We ask that people not congregate in this location but move toward either the theatre or outdoors to have a conversation.

  • Air filters

We have hepa air purifiers in all locations of The Varsity Theatre to help with protection from COVID-19. This includes all the QUESTkids areas.

  • Exits

After the service we will have two exits available so that everyone can spread out when leaving. You can exit either the main theatre through the emergency exit door or the main lobby. If you want to stay a little longer to make a friend we encourage you to stay in the main theatre where there is open space to be distant.

Have a Seat!

With a goal of creating a safe and loving way to worship inside we have a seating spaced out. This allows you to worship with a peace of mind.

Ushers will be available when you enter the Theatre to help you find an open seat. If you have any questions the Ushers will be there to help you.
